This is the 2012 release of bigfoot from Sierra Nevada. 9.6%ABV, 90 IBU’s of beautiful barleywine style beer. I’m currently building a collection for my beer ‘cellar’ and wish I had put some 2010 & 2011 releases away but sadly I was just thirsty & greedy in those years when it came to beer.

I made a post on the 27th December about a homebrew kit I got from my brother as a Christmas present.  Well after lots of research and tips I got around to making it over the past couple of weeks.  Today was bottling day and I ended up with 42 x 500ml.  It will be another 3-4 weeks of bottle conditioning before it’s ready to drink.  I can’t wait

BTW It’s an IPA for those interested.

So what’s the next step after tasting so many, many different beers for the past 2 years? Why make my own beer
